Permutation Rewriting and Algorithmic

چکیده
We propose a natural subclass of regular languages (Alphabetic Pattern Constraints, APC) which is effectively closed under permutation rewriting, i.e., under iterative application of rules of the form ab ! ba. It is well-known that regular languages do not have this closure property, in general. Our result can be applied for example to regular model checking , for verifying properties of parametrized linear networks of regular processes, and for modeling and verifying properties of asynchronous distributed systems. We also consider the complexity of testing membership in APC and show that the question is complete for PSPACE when the input is an NFA, and complete for NLOGSPACE when it is a DFA. Moreover , we show that both the inclusion problem and the question of closure under permutation rewriting are PSPACE-complete when we restrict to the class APC.

متن کاملCartesian closed 2-categories and permutation equivalence in higher-order rewriting
We propose a semantics for permutation equivalence in higher-order rewriting. This semantics takes place in cartesian closed 2-categories, and is proved sound and complete.
متن کاملAxiomatizing Permutation Equivalence
We axiomatize permutation equivalence in term rewriting systems and Klop's orthogonal Combinatory Reduction Systems Klop 1980]. The axioms for the former ones are provided by the general approach proposed by Meseguer Meseguer 1992]. The latter ones need extra axioms modeling the interplay between reductions and the operation of substitution. As a consequence of this work, the deenition of permu...
متن کاملUsing Algebra-Algorithmic and Term Rewriting Tools for Developing Efficient Parallel Programs
An approach to program design and synthesis using algebraalgorithmic specifications and rewriting rules techniques is proposed. An algebra-algorithmic toolkit based on the approach allows building syntactically correct and easy-to-understand algorithm specifications. The term rewriting system supplements the algebra-algorithmic toolkit with facilities for transformation of the sequential and pa...

A simple construction of pseudorandom generator is appear. This pseudorandom generator is always passed by NIST statistical test. This paper reports a pseudorandom number generator which has good property is able to construct using only permutation and data rewriting by XOR.
